Fundraising
To help offset program and tournament costs, the Sterling Strikers rely heavily on our sponsorship program. Each player and/or family is highly encouraged to help seek sponsorship. A player is rewarded 1/2 of each sponsor donation they bring in. In addition to corporate and fan club sponsorship fundraising, the Sterling Strikers have held concession stands, bake sales, raffles, and scrip discount cards.
Additional Costs
The fee structure outlined above does not include all the costs associated with being on the Sterling Strikers for a typical season. Listed below are examples of costs that you may have to pay extra for, although we do our best to offset these costs with team sponsorships.
-
Warm-ups, soccer bags, team training shirts
-
Additional camps and/or training sessions
-
Tournament travel – The approach to travel is varied. Many families will choose to participate in all travel tournaments and others will choose to play in a select few. Although we will book hotel rooms as a team so that we are all in the same location, travel lodging and food expenses are the responsibility of each individual family and are not included as part of the team’s annual budget. The Sterling Strikers do their best to hold fundraisers to cover the costs of hotel or travel but do focus on earmarking all corporate sponsorship money towards tournament registration expenses.
